“Brandywine Christmas” – This historic farmhouse, known as Lafayette’s Quarters, housed the Marquis de Lafayette on the eve of the Battle of the Brandywine in 1777.In 1777 the house was owned by Gideon Gilpin, a Quaker farmer, and after being restored looks much now as it did in Revolutionary times. Marquis de LaFayette, at 19 years of age, saw his first military action, in the American revolution, at the Battle of Brandywine. This limited edition print, signed and numbered by the artist, was reproduced from the original watercolor of the same name, using the highest quality craftsmanship and printing on fine neutral pH balanced paper.
