The Longfellow House
Limited Edition Signed and Numbered Print.
Reproduced from the original watercolor painting by N. Santoleri
The Longfellow House in Cambridge Massachusetts was the home of the great American poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow from 1837 to 1882. The house was a favorite gathering place for many prominent philosophers and writers including Ralph Waldo Emerson and Nathaniel Hawthorne. A century before, the home was used by George Washington as his headquarters during the siege of Boston in 1775-76. Longfellow House was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1962, and houses an extensive museum collection of artwork, sculpture, decorative arts, historic papers, and a 10,000 volume library. The architecture and the historic significance of the Longfellow House make it an fascinating subject for a painting.
This limited edition print, signed and numbered by the artist, was reproduced from the original watercolor of the same name, using the highest quality craftsmanship and printing on fine neutral pH balanced paper.
