“Turtle Crossing” (Okehocking Preserve, Chester County, PA), is an original acrylic painting by Nicholas Santoleri.
The painting has been reproduced in a limited edition signed and numbered print.
The Okehocking Preserve, protected from residential and commercial development by conservation easement held by the Willistown Conservation Trust, is 180 acre containing meadows, uplands, wetlands, Ridley Creek riparian areas, and mature woods, and provides passive recreation and about 7 miles of mown and wooded natural surface trails.
Old homes and farms in the Chester County area, seem to captivate me most. I continually find myself gravitating to this kind of subject matter. This original painting took me about six weeks to finish. Some of the work completed on site, and much in the studio. Painting “Chester County stone work” lures me into a creative zone, where time appears to be warped. See Facebook comments on this painting.
