Pope Francis Pencil Drawing
On a recent trip to Rome (early August, 2015), Louise and I were fortunate to attend an outdoor mass in St. Peter’s Square celebrated by Pope Francis. With some timing and luck, I was able to get some great pictures of the pope from a distance of less than 10 feet as he passed by in his Popemobile. Although I am no longer a practicing catholic, for the past year or so I have been in awe of this man! It is the man himself and his words that inspired me to immediately start work on this drawing, which I hope portrays his humility and holiness. To date, I believe this, Pope Francis pencil drawing, to be one of my finest drawings in my 28 years as a full time artist.
